上海通信中心818频道单边带点验织密商渔防护“安全网”
As the East China Sea's "fishing ban was lifted," the flow of vessels in the East China Sea region surged, and the risk of collisions between commercial and fishing vessels increased accordingly. Recently, the East China Sea Navigation Support Center Shanghai Communication Center, in addition to routine measures such as joint shifts with the Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration for commercial and fishing vessel collision avoidance and intelligent telephone spot checks for ship verification, carried out 818-channel single-sideband commercial and fishing vessel verification to strengthen maritime safety defenses.
As an internationally recognized ship-to-shore communication frequency, the 818 channel is capable of medium- and long-range maritime communications. During the verification process, the attendants implemented a "roll-call style" management of passing vessels through "proactive calling, individual verification, and dynamic recording," revitalizing the old frequency band with "new vitality" in the new era of maritime governance.
Since the test launch on September 9, the center has deployed 18 man-hours in attendance, verified 170 vessels via the 818 channel, and covered three scenarios: invitation tests, shore-to-ship calls, and ship-to-shore calls. Among these, there were 18 invitation tests with 12 successful calls; 87 shore-to-ship tests with 7 successful calls; and 65 ship-to-shore tests, all of which were successfully completed. This string of data has woven an invisible "safety net."
