我国自研新一代深水多功能海洋工程船“海洋石油292”交付
Recently, the "Offshore Oil 292," a new generation of deep-water multifunctional marine engineering vessel independently developed by China, invested by CNOOC Engineering and built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Group, was delivered in Qidong, Jiangsu.

The "Offshore Oil 292" adopts a double-layer structure and streamlined monohull design, with a total length of 126 meters, a width of 28 meters, and a displacement of over 17,600 tons. The deck area is equivalent to nearly five standard basketball courts and can accommodate 100 people for work and living simultaneously. It has a design speed of 12 knots and the capability to navigate in unlimited sailing areas. The vessel is equipped with a 400-ton full-rotation crane and a 50-ton knuckle boom crane, as well as a DP2 dynamic positioning system and electric full-rotation propulsion devices. It is pre-equipped with advanced equipment such as a 3,000-ton cable reel, underwater robots, and underwater trenching machines. It possesses multiple operational capabilities, including deep-water marine engineering development, construction, maintenance, repair, and emergency response. It is suitable for comprehensive operations across the entire process of marine engineering, such as underwater pipeline and structure installation, seabed surveys, and transportation support in various sea areas.
The vessel's level of digitalization, intelligence, and greenness has reached the advanced level of similar equipment. The ship is built with an intelligent system covering the entire chain of "perception-transmission-decision-execution," equipped with an automated system for real-time monitoring and intelligent linkage of key equipment. It monitors and intelligently analyzes human-machine conditions around the clock, enabling periodic unmanned operations. Adhering to the concept of green and low-carbon development, it innovatively applies advanced systems such as intelligent power stations and bidirectional heat exchange heating. It is also the first to adopt a fully domestically produced electric drive mode, capable of environmentally friendly, safe, stable, and efficient operations under harsh sea conditions.
The delivery of this vessel not only represents a concentrated demonstration of China's manufacturing strength in high-end marine engineering equipment but also provides critical equipment support for the independent development of offshore oil and gas resources and energy security. At the same time, it significantly enhances China's underwater engineering and in-service facility installation service capabilities, injecting solid equipment strength into the implementation of the maritime power strategy.
